Encore! shares the Burton Park Building with The Academy of Performing Arts
(www.academyofperformingarts.org) at 6615 38th Avenue Northwest in Gig Harbor. It is a great partnership as the two separate organizations work cooperatively to bring cultural skills and events to the community.

Encore! creates year-round theater, drawing in part from the talents that are nurtured in the Academy's classes, but open to aspiring community talent as well. Academy students benefit from opportunities to use their arts training due to the many performances taking place.

This is a Community Theater with a dedicated group of volunteers who help in so many ways; there is also a working board of directors. The commitment of these two groups has helped Encore! to maintain its high standards of performance.

Encore! produces five to seven plays each season with an emphasis on family fare. In the summer months (June, July, and August) two to three plays are performed outdoors, giving our directors a wide expanse of performance space in which to create delightfully exciting panoramas of music, color, and dance. Indoor productions in the theater at Burton Park allows for just over one hundred seats, creating a warm, intimate venue in which to enjoy theater in an entirely different perspective. You get the best of both worlds with Encore!
