1. Fill out an Audition Form and the Procedures Form or pick-up the forms and any other audition materials at the theater.
2. Check rehearsal schedule with your personal calendar.
3. Fill out audition form listing all conflicts under "Conflicts with Rehearsals or Performance." Only listed conflicts will be allowed, so please, be complete.
4. Turn in audition form. Parental signature is required to authorize any auditioner that is younger than 16. We will audition in the order that forms are turned in or by appointment.
5. Audition:
A) Introduce yourself and perform your audition piece or monologue.
B) Sing your song. Please note that sometimes for reasons of time, we may stop you before you conclude your song.
C) Possible movement or improvisation.
6. Callbacks for the show will be held, if necessary, at a date to be determined. Please advise the director on your audition form if you have a conflict with this date. We will call you if you need to attend. Note: You may still be cast in the production even without a callback, so be sure to check the posted cast list.
7. The cast list will be posted here on a date determined by the Director PM. This is the only method of notification so please check the list and put your initials next to your name so that we know you have seen it. At the first rehearsal for each show, bring designated amount (cash or check) to pay participation fee and script fee.
8. Upon acceptance of casting each actor will be required to sign a hold-harmless agreement to waive injury responsibility from Encore! Theatre Company.
9. Encore! Theatre Company is a volunteer-based community theater and, as such, needs the assistance of the actors and/or the families of the actors involved in the productions. Each of you will be required to participate on some technical crew to help to get the production heading in the right direction. If you know, now, how you would like to help, please indicate that on the provided form and turn it in with your audition form.
For musicals, you are required to sing a lyrical piece - not a rock or country western music song.
